Sponsor a Piper or Drummer
(We'll even send you a picture of your piper or drummer,
and you can keep up with him or her over the course of a year...)
Running an active Pipe and Drum band is no inexpensive matter, and building one costs even more.
An active band requires:
Right now, the Northeast Arkansas Caledonian Pipes and Drums is a new and growing organization. We started with 2 in 2006, and now have 10 players and 3 students. As such we're still working to collect basic uniform items, most of which are not available at Wal-Mart. We're also gathering the items needed for a "Base Camp" when we go to events, games and competitions. These type items include enough 10x10 pop-up canopies to give proper shade, coolers, an enclosed trailer to haul the drums, tents, and other items in. We even have need of locking file cabinets, a portable projector screen for using with our overhead projector for training, and more.
Of course.. Cash always helps, as it can be used for entry fees and to send people to training.
You may ask, "How much could it cost to outfit a Piper / Drummer?" Well, about a Thousand Dollars, head to toe. And this is for a casual, civilian uniform, the cost can go way up if going with a military look, or higher quality items. Oh, and this doesn't include the instrument. Drum Majors are even more.

So, I don't expect anyone to happen to have any of this laying around, however we are also in need of an enclosed trailer to haul our gear in, Pop-up Tents, chairs, folding tables and the like, should anyone wish to make a donation.
Cash or checks are also great, and.. if you don't want to do an outright donation, considering HIRING the band.
You could also purchase some of our Band Swag , or attend our annual Burns Night fundraiser, or even just join the band as a student, and help us earn the needed funds. (of course if you join, now we have another uniform we need).
